I offer online somatic relational therapy for Muslims navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship wounds, intimacy struggles, family pressure, and emotional overwhelm.

You might be holding more than anyone realises
On the outside, you’re functioning.
You show up, you carry on, you try to do the right thing.
But inside, it can feel very different.
Maybe your mind doesn’t switch off
Maybe your body feels constantly on edge or exhausted
Maybe you feel disconnected from yourself, or even from your faith
Or perhaps you’re carrying things you’ve never had space to process
family expectations, relationship struggles, cultural pressure, past experiences that still live in your body
And a part of you is tired of trying to manage it alone
When talking hasn’t quite been enough
Many of the people I work with have already tried to “think their way through it”
You might understand your patterns
You might know why you feel the way you do
But something still feels stuck
That’s often because what you’re carrying isn’t just in your thoughts
It’s in your nervous system, your body, your sense of safety in the world
And that needs a different kind of approach
A different way of working
I offer online therapy for Muslims that goes beyond just talking
My approach combines:
-
Somatic therapy – working gently with the nervous system and how anxiety, trauma, and stress live in the body
-
Relational therapy – understanding how your experiences and relationships have shaped how you feel and respond
-
Culturally and spiritually aware support – recognising the role of faith, identity, and community in your life
This means we don’t just talk about what’s happening
We begin to work with it at a deeper level, at a pace that feels safe for you
What makes this different
There is a particular kind of relief that comes from not having to explain your whole world
Working with a therapist who understands:
-
the importance of faith without reducing everything to it
-
the complexity of family, culture, and expectations
-
the internal tension between sabr, trust in Allah, and emotional pain
can change how safe you feel to open up
At the same time, this is not about judgement, pressure, or telling you what you “should” do
It’s about helping you come back into a more grounded, connected version of yourself
What sessions feel like
Sessions are calm, collaborative, and paced around you
Sometimes we talk
Sometimes we slow things down and notice what’s happening in your body
Sometimes we gently explore patterns that have been there for a long time
There is no pressure to go faster than you’re ready for
Over time, many people begin to notice:
-
their body feels calmer and less reactive
-
their thoughts become clearer and less overwhelming
-
they feel more confident in themselves and their decisions
-
a deeper sense of connection to themselves and to Allah
A simple way to begin calming your system
When anxiety rises, it’s not just in your thoughts
your body is trying to protect you
This is a gentle practice you can try
Why this matters
Many of us were taught to manage distress through thinking or pushing through
But the body needs to feel safe first
When you combine gentle awareness of the body with remembrance of Allah
it can become a deeply grounding experience
Not something you force
but something you return to
Why I specialise in working with Muslims
Many Muslims struggle silently with their mental health
Not because they lack faith
but because they haven’t had the right kind of space to be understood
I specialise in this work because I understand how important it is to have support that respects both your emotional world and your beliefs
You don’t have to choose between your mental health and your faith here
Both are welcomed
