Somatic Relational Counselling for Anxiety, Trauma & Emotional Healing Online

You might understand your anxiety, your patterns, even your past…
but something still feels stuck.

Somatic relational therapy helps you work with both your mind and your body so change happens at a deeper level, not just in thought.

When insight isn’t enough

You’ve done the thinking.

You understand why you feel the way you do.
You’ve reflected, journaled, maybe even had therapy before.

But something isn’t shifting.

  • Anxiety still shows up in your body

  • You find yourself overthinking, even when you “know better”

  • The same relationship patterns keep repeating

  • You feel stuck between awareness and change

It can feel frustrating, like you’re close to something… but not quite there.

What is Somatic Counselling?

Somatic therapy is an approach that works with the connection between your mind and body.

Instead of focusing only on thoughts, we also pay attention to your nervous system, physical sensations, and emotional responses as they happen in the moment.

Because often, anxiety and trauma aren’t just held in memory —
they’re held in the body.

Through somatic relational therapy, we begin to gently shift these patterns, helping your system feel safer, more regulated, and less overwhelmed over time.

Why working with the body helps anxiety and trauma

When you experience stress, anxiety, or trauma, your nervous system adapts to protect you.

These patterns can stay active long after the original situation has passed.

Talking can help you understand what’s happening.
But real change often happens when your body begins to experience something different.

In our sessions, we might:

  • Slow things down and notice what’s happening in your body

  • Gently explore emotions rather than pushing them away

  • Work with your nervous system to reduce overwhelm

  • Build a sense of safety and grounding over time

This is where deeper, lasting change begins.

How this is different from traditional talking therapy

Many forms of therapy focus on thoughts, behaviours, or problem-solving.

This approach includes that, but also goes further.

Instead of only asking:

“What do you think about this?”

We also explore:
“What happens inside you as you talk about this?”

That’s often where the shift begins, in the moment, not just in reflection.

Somatic Relational Counselling can help with:

  • Anxiety and constant overthinking
  • Trauma and past experiences that still feel present
  • Panic, overwhelm, or feeling on edge
  • Relationship difficulties and emotional triggers
  • Feeling disconnected from yourself or others
  • Low mood linked to stress or unresolved experiences

Especially if you’ve tried talking things through before, but still feel stuck.

A culturally aware and relational approach

I offer therapy that takes into account your cultural background, identity, and personal values.

For many clients, faith, family, and relationships are deeply connected to emotional wellbeing.

This space allows all parts of you to be explored, not separated.

What sessions feel like

Sessions are led at your pace.

There’s no pressure to go deeper than feels right for you.

Sometimes we’ll talk.

Sometimes we’ll slow things down and notice what’s happening in your body.

You won’t be analysed or judged, just met where you are.
